Before coaching, Rosalyn worked in the field of human resources consultancy including for William M. Mercer and Ernst & Young. She worked latterly as a corporate consultant, helping companies to think strategically about how their pension schemes met financial objectives and also helped motivate or retain employees. The work entailed communication at all levels, from board directors to blue-collar workforce. Rosalyn applies the same high level of professionalism and communication skills to her coaching.
Rosalyn also has experience of the public sector working for a large city council. Through her work as a volunteer, Rosalyn has experience of the voluntary sector.
Rosalyn has a unique ability to rise above the issue and the sector-specific culture and see the bigger picture. Her experience of all three sectors gives her an ability to understand the challenges each bring.
She brings her own experience of feeling like a round peg in a square hole to help women discover their own round peggedness and the life they really want to live.
Working as a counsellor at a voluntary young people’s agency, Rosalyn has been counselling and subsequently coaching since 2004. She is also involved as a coach on a project in the Midlands. This involves taking disadvantaged young people for a year and working with them on person development goals and towards a dramatic performance at the end of the year. Last year’s project was ‘Ballet Hoo‘, the progress of which was screened on Channel 4.
Rosalyn is a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute (’CTI’) coaching programme. She holds a BA Hons in English Language and Literature. Rosalyn holds a professional pensions qualification and is a trained counsellor. In addition she is a member of the International Coach Federation.
Rosalyn’s coaching style is compassionate, challenging, accepting and motivational. She is direct but non-judgemental. Her counselling background builds on her natural ability to quickly form connections and build trust.
Rosalyn has a spirit of adventure and has backpacked around the globe and experienced two skydives. She also makes time to wind down by enjoying her friendships over a meal.
